The GC in DC Legislative Internship Program provides students with support as they pursue internships on Capitol Hill. The program is available to students of all majors, including those in the humanities, mass communication, business, political science, and natural and environmental sciences. Working and living in Washington, D.C., presents numerous rewarding experiences that are second to none.
Students selected for the GC in DC Legislative Internship Program are matched with a mentor from the GC in DC team. These mentors play a key role in guiding students through the internship process, offering personalized support with application materials and internship site suggestions based on each student’s interests. The program continues to oversee students throughout their internship by checking in over the course of the semester and ensuring their experience is substantive and rewarding. In addition, students eligible through their major department may also benefit by earning Georgia College credit for their internship.
Applicants should be considered current students at Georgia College & State University for the intended internship semester.
